Additional Chief Executive Officer Deeksha Jain led a joint inspection to resolve drainage blockages and water backflow issues in the area.
Deeksha Jain, the Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA), led a joint site inspection at the Rooma Industrial Area on Saturday. The inspection aimed to address chronic drainage blockages and water backflow issues, according to The Pioneer.
The inspection team included the Municipal Commissioner of Kanpur Municipal Corporation, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Sadar), and departmental engineers. The delegation assessed vulnerable points where blockages have obstructed the natural flow of water, causing recurrent waterlogging during rains.
Officials discussed technical and practical solutions to ensure a permanent resolution. They highlighted the requirement for inter-departmental coordination to upgrade the existing drainage network.
During the visit, Jain held discussions with office-bearers of the Rooma Industrial Area Entrepreneurs’ Association regarding their operational grievances and suggestions. Jain stated that UPSIDA is committed to improving maintenance facilities and providing an industry-friendly environment to boost industrial growth across the state.
