Three Kuki community members killed in Manipur Noney gunfight

The Kuki Inpi Manipur has alleged that Naga militant groups were responsible for the deaths in Kekru Naga village.

Three people from the Kuki community were killed during a gunfight between rival armed groups in Manipur's Noney district on Saturday, according to The New Indian Express.

The exchange of fire occurred in the forested hill area of Kekru Naga village during the morning and lasted for several hours, police said.

Police stated that necessary security measures have been implemented in the area.

The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), which is the apex body of the Kuki community, issued a statement condemning the deaths and alleging that Naga militant groups were behind the incident.

The organisation has called for justice and accountability, while also asking the State government to take immediate action.
