Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal confirmed the entire 25-member crew of the M/T Al Mayeda is unharmed following a projectile attack.

The Marshall Islands-flagged LNG carrier M/T Al Mayeda was targeted by a projectile in the Persian Gulf on October 30, according to The Tribune.

Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal stated on Saturday that all six Indian nationals on board, along with the rest of the 25-member crew, are safe.

Sonowal said the government is tracking the situation and maintaining communication with the ship management company to ensure the security of the seafarers.

The minister also noted that 29 Indian crew members from two different tankers involved in incidents on October 29 and 30 were not injured.

Earlier, the Panama-flagged oil tanker MT LOUISE 1, which had 27 Indian seafarers, sustained damage from limpet mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Ministry of External Affairs reported that 22 Indian nationals, including 14 seafarers, have died in the ongoing West Asia conflict.
