MPBSE to issue duplicate and corrected marksheets from divisional offices
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education will transfer printing responsibilities to divisional offices starting November 1 to ensure faster delivery to students.
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) will transfer the responsibility for printing duplicate and revised marksheets to its divisional offices from November 1, according to the Free Press Journal.
Currently, students apply for these documents through MP Online, after which district-level coordinating institutions examine the requests. Once approved, the cases are sent to the board headquarters for central printing and dispatch via speed post.
Approximately 8,000 to 10,000 students reportedly apply for corrections after results are declared each year, out of the 18 lakh students who appear for Class 10 and 12 examinations in the state.
The board is also planning to introduce the digital signature of its secretary on all duplicate and revised marksheets issued by divisional offices.
This move aims to avoid discrepancies, as revised marksheets currently carry the signatures of respective divisional officers, which has sometimes led to disputes over differing signatures.
