Delhi University invites applications for 215 assistant posts

The University of Delhi has invited applications for 215 assistant posts, according to the Hindustan Times. Interested candidates can submit their applications online via the official website at du.ac.in.
The deadline to apply is November 19, 2026, or within two weeks from the date the advertisement appears in the Employment News, whichever is later. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institute or university.
Candidates require two years of experience as a Junior Assistant or in equivalent posts within a university, research establishment, central or state government, PSU, or autonomous body. Experience in reputed private companies or corporate banks with a minimum annual turnover of at least Rs 200 crore is also accepted.
The age limit for applicants is 32 years. The selection process includes a written preliminary exam consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions worth 200 marks, covering General Studies, Reasoning, Mathematical Ability, and the functioning of higher educational institutions.
The preliminary test is for shortlisting only and carries no weightage in the final assessment. The main exam will consist of 200 marks, which will determine the merit list. A skill test worth 100 marks is also required, where candidates must score at least 50 marks to qualify.
Application fees are ₹1000 for General/Unreserved categories, ₹800 for OBC (NCL), EWS, and female candidates, and ₹600 for SC, ST, and PwBD categories. Fees are non-refundable.
