Delhi police announce traffic curbs for INDIA bloc rally on November 1

Traffic restrictions will be in place from 10 am to 5 pm due to a planned rally at Ramlila Maidan.

Delhi Police have announced traffic restrictions across parts of the capital from 10 am to 5 pm on November 1. The measures are in view of an INDIA bloc rally at Ramlila Maidan.

The Delhi Traffic Police said diversions will be enforced at key central Delhi intersections, including Rajghat, Delhi Gate, ITO A-point, Ajmeri Gate red light, and the Ranjeet Singh Flyover. Other affected areas include Netaji Subhash Marg T-point, Jhandewalan roundabout, Turkman Gate, and Mirdard Chowk.

Commuters may face congestion on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Aruna Asaf Ali Road, Minto Road, Desh Bandhu Gupta Road, and Barakhamba Road. Stretches around Kamla Market and Hamdard Chowk are also expected to see congestion.

The INDIA bloc has planned a mega rally over the vote chori issue and to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged voter list irregularities. A march is scheduled for noon from the Minto Road-Connaught Place junction to Ramlila Maidan.

Police have made parking arrangements at Rajghat, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation parking lots, and the railway parking area opposite Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital. A separate passage will be provided near the hospital for emergency vehicles.

Passengers heading to New Delhi Railway Station have been advised to plan ahead. Those coming from east Delhi can use ITO, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, and Bhavbhuti Marg to reach the station.
