Film industry members pay last respects to filmmaker Sanjay Gupta
Actors including Abhishek Bachchan and Manoj Bajpayee attended the funeral of director Sanjay Gupta at a Versova crematorium.
Several members of the film fraternity gathered at a Versova crematorium to pay their last respects to filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, according to the Free Press Journal.
Celebrities including Abhishek Bachchan, Rakesh Roshan, Ronit Roy, and Rohit Roy arrived to attend the funeral. Manoj Bajpayee and Rajpal Yadav were also seen at the crematorium.
Rajat Bedi arrived to offer condolences to the family of the late director. Sanjay Gupta's mortal remains were transported to the crematorium in a flower-decorated ambulance.
Sanjay Gupta passed away on October 30 at the age of 57. He reportedly suffered a fatal head injury following an accidental fall at his Versova residence in Mumbai.
The Versova Police registered an Accidental Death Report, stating that no foul play is suspected and the family has raised no complaint. The body was sent for a post-mortem examination as investigations continue.
