Iran's Supreme Leader warns US and Israel of unrestricted response
Mojtaba Khamenei has directed military forces to prepare for immediate retaliation against any potential enemy threats.
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has instructed the nation's armed forces to provide an immediate response to any threats without geographic limits, according to reports from The Indian Express and Hindustan Times.
In a statement released on his official Telegram account on Saturday, Khamenei said that the Iranian military and the nation would decide the timing and circumstances for ending any renewed military or terrorist attacks by enemies.
The Supreme Leader, who met with senior military officials, also directed that the military target list be updated to include both physical and non-physical assets of the United States and Israel.
This warning follows a US-Israeli military campaign against Iran in February, which killed Khamenei's father, Ali Khamenei, and several other senior officials.
Separately, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated on Saturday that Tehran has reviewed a message from US Vice President JD Vance.
Araqchi told Al Jazeera that Iran's conditions for resuming talks include the reduction of US military presence in the region and the lifting of sanctions imposed after the Islamabad memorandum of understanding.
