UP Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar dismisses Akhilesh Yadav's criticism of healthcare

The Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party chief called the Samajwadi Party leader's comments regarding the AIIMS Gorakhpur director's hospitalisation petty.

Uttar Pradesh Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar on Saturday criticised Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav for his comments regarding the hospitalisation of the AIIMS Gorakhpur director at a private hospital.

Rajbhar told ANI that Yadav is nitpicking and has nothing better to do. He claimed that Yadav fails to see improvements in the state's healthcare under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The minister stated that child health suffered during the Samajwadi Party administration due to water pollution. He alleged that child deaths have become negligible under the current government because water quality has improved.

This dispute follows a statement by Akhilesh Yadav, who cited a report about the AIIMS Gorakhpur director seeking treatment at a private hospital. Yadav said that under BJP rule, even AIIMS needs treatment and called the government's claims false propaganda.

Rajbhar, who is the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party chief, has been targeting the opposition ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Last week, he challenged Yadav to project a Muslim candidate as the party's chief ministerial face.
