Jatin Dev wins boys under-19 table tennis title in Hyderabad
Jatin Dev defeated Yashvasin 4-2 in the final of the Telangana state ranking tournament.
Jatin Dev won the boys under-19 title at the 12th Late Samreddy Sudershan Reddy Memorial Telangana State Table Tennis Tournament in Hyderabad. According to reports from Telangana Today and Deccan Chronicle, the final took place at the Mahaveer Institute of Science and Technology in Bandlaguda.
In the boys under-19 final, Jatin Dev (SGUTTA) defeated Yashvasin (AWA) with a score of 6-11, 11-8, 7-11, 13-11, 11-6, 11-8. The tournament was organised by the Ranga Reddy District Table Tennis Association.
In the boys under-15 semifinals, Sriram Siddarth (AVSC) beat Hriaan (LFHSA) 11-8, 11-9, 11-7, while Vaibhav (AVSC) defeated Virat (SGUTTA) 10-12, 11-6, 11-8, 11-4.
In the men's singles quarterfinals, Pavan Kumar (Postal) overcame B Varun Shankar (SGUTTA) 8-11, 11-7, 11-4, 11-6. Md Ali (SGUTTA) defeated Santhosh Kumar (SGUTTA) 11-8, 11-5, 12-10, while Ali Md (HDTTA) received a walkover from Jatin Dev (SGUTTA).
During the boys under-11 pre-quarterfinals, Shobhik (GSM) beat Anoop (AKTTA) 11-5, 11-5, 11-4 and Bhoumik (AWA) defeated Karthikeya (LFA) 11-5, 11-9, 11-6. Other winners included Siddharth (PPTA), Jatin Jairam (SGUTTA), Keshava (AWA), Varshik (SPARS), Allan (LFA) and Shubham Dey (AVSC).
